In 1945 Camp Downer began its tradition of providing an affordable summer camping experience to children from around Vermont, the country and the world. Housed in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) village from the 1930’s, Camp Downer has seen many changes through the years and provided a summer camp experience like no other to tens of thousands of campers.

Time has taken its toll on camp and now we are asking your help to keep this very special place viable into the future. Many projects are happening every year with many slated for future dates when funds might be available.

The largest renovation in the history of Camp Downer is now underway in our dining hall with much needed upgrades to the foundation, living quarters, kitchen, plumbing and electrical. With your help we can finish this project and move up the time line on other much needed repairs.

Camp has been such a special place to so many over the years. Please help us pass our traditions on to future generations to enjoy by donating to our general fund.
